VDI 6022 hygiene inspection
Inspection comes before cleaning. Only once it is clear what your system looks like inside can anyone say what it really needs.
We run a 360-degree pan-and-tilt camera through the ductwork and record the whole run. We document not only deposits but anything else that stands out: leaks, loose screws in the shaft, damaged insulation, defective fire dampers.
The microbiological assessment is carried out by an independent laboratory. This separation is deliberate: whoever does the cleaning should not assess their own results.
What we take care of
CCTV inspection
Recording of the duct run with 360-degree pan-and-tilt optics, with findings documented directly as photos.
Visual inspection of components
Filter stages, humidifiers, coils, condensate drip trays, fans and air terminals assessed individually.
Sampling
Contact plate samples from surfaces, airborne microbial sampling and dust wipe samples, depending on the system and the question at hand.
Laboratory analysis
Analysis by an independent testing laboratory, including separate results for mould and total viable count.
Report and recommendation
You receive easy-to-follow findings with a clear statement of what needs to be done and what does not.
VDI 6022 hygiene inspection: frequently asked questions
The hygiene check is the visual inspection carried out during the year by trained operating staff. The hygiene inspection is a comprehensive assessment of the system, including measurements and sampling. VDI 6022 requires both, at different intervals.
Yes. VDI 6022 provides for an initial inspection at commissioning. In new buildings in particular, construction debris, insulation remnants or packaging material are regularly found in the ductwork.
Yes. You receive the recording as a file or on a storage medium, together with the written findings. This is your evidence for the authorities, your insurer and auditors.
